Born in Detroit, Michigan, I became a confirmed Beatlemaniac at age 4 when I saw Yellow Submarine on TV. I played drums in some ill-fated garage bands before heading to Boston to graduate from Emerson College. Now based in L.A., I’ve written for Rolling Stone.com, Yahoo! Movies and TV, the music magazines Burn Lounge, Mean Street, and Dispatch, the Hollywood monthly Ingenue, and Baseline’s Studio System, the leading online database and research service for the film and television industries. I directed and co-wrote the feature film The Discontents (2004) starring Perry King and Amy Madigan and served as actor Jeff Bridges’ Development Associate at AsIs Productions.
